Happy Saturday! As it's weekend yet, I decided that it is the perfect time to share another recipe for healthy breakfast. In the last couple of weeks I was struggling with breakfast ideas. What do I do when I need ideas? Pinterest obviously! So I found this overnight oats recipe and decided to try it. It went really well so I thought I'll share that with you guys! I've got 3 different ways to serve your oats- Blueberry lemon, Banana nut and Pina Colada.
To prepare your oatmeal you will need: (one portion)
1/3 cup rolled oats
1 table spoon chia seeds
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/4-1/2 cup dairy milk (almond, soy, hemp or rice work too)
- Combine all of the ingredients in a mason jar.
- Add less milk or more milk based on how thick you prefer you oatmeal.
- Shake well and refrigerate overnight.
Pina Colada
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon coconut
1 tablespoon almonds
1/4 cut pineapple
Blueberry lemon
1 tablespoon blueberry jam
1 teaspoon lemon rind
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup blueberry
Banana nut
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon natural nut butter
2 tablespoons walnuts
1/2 sliced banana
