Sunday treats at Laduree

Weather is getting colder and colder everyday so there are only two options to spend my Sundays- stay in bed all day watching tv series, movies and youtube with LOTS of treats or go somewhere warm & cozy and have some lunch with people I love. This Sunday turned out as big treat at Laduree. My friend suggested this place and I definitely will suggest to someone else. We actually got some lunch before the desserts in different place as we thought better don't go there hungry. However we ended up with full table of sweetness. Haha. I try to eat as healthy as possible at the moment so that was such a big cheat... but it's Sunday. And on Sundays you can cheat right??? Anyway, if you're hungry you better go and have some food before looking at these pictures. Haha.
Even if we needed to wait for a table around 15 minutes we luckily had beautiful by the window. It was raining on that day so sitting inside with hot drink and the cake was the best you could ask for. I ordered a French toast with some cream, raspberry coulis and fresh raspberries on the side with strawberry milkshake. I don't really know why but I always go for warm desserts. Most of my friends know my obsession for warm sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream... Anyway, moving on. My friend got a pistachio cake, I believe, with coffee and cream. Also both of us took 2 macarons each- vanilla and pistachio for me, rose and vanilla for her. Even though we were too full to finish it and took it home. After everything arrived, our table just looked gorgeous and I was taking pictures literally non stop.

After Laduree me and my other friends went to watch "Girl on the train". I loved the story, actors, atmosphere and everything about this movie. However, one of my friends read book before and wasn't so impressed. I was glad I didn't and enjoyed the movie until the end. If you haven't seen it yet you definitely need to! You'll love it if you liked "Gone girl". I already want to watch it again and concentrate more on the details. So if it's still will be going on I will bring my family to see it after I come back home in the end of the month.
And the last thing I want to share with you is something what happened on the same day while I was traveling by train. So I was just listening music and thinking about whoever knows what until I saw a homeless man standing in the middle and saying something to everyone. I took my earphones out as I wanted to hear what he was saying. I can't really remember exact words but he was just asking for help. It wasn't just asking for money. He was happy if someone could give him some food, drinks or anything people have with them, but don't really need. Everyone in the train was looking to him with cold eyes and didn't say anything. Some of the people just pretended they can't hear or see him. Most of the time I'm one of these people. Ignoring one. But not because I don't care... This time something was different. This homeless man knew how to knock to my heart. So I took my wallet out and gave him all my change I had. After I did it, everyone started looking for something they could give to him. Every single passenger on the train gave either money or either some food- banana, apple, sandwich, sweets. And then I realized how important is to be that first one. I'm not trying to say that if there is no me- no one would give him anything. Not at all. Maybe it would have been someone instead of me. It really made me think that we don't need to be scared to do good things. I know that you will be different, not like everyone else but that's the point. If you will be brave to do something- most of the time people will follow you. And maybe we can create a better world. Just don't wait for someone else to do it. Always start with yourself.
Love you all,
Karolina
