Restaurant review: Siluvos karuna

Yesterday was the last day of my holidays in Lithuania. So me, my sister and mum decided to visit restaurant everyone is talking about. You can find "Siluvos karuna" in small town called Siluva (District of Raseiniai, county of Kaunas). Never thought that small town as Siluva (less than 1000 inhabitants!!!) could have such a good restaurant. It was wednesday evening so "Siluvos karuna" was very empty and unfortunately second floor was reserved for someone. Anyway, we had amazing time. Atmosphere/environment were the nicest I ever saw/been- quiet and autumny. And food... On the way to the restaurant I was thinking to get 2 course meal- main and dessert. But then I saw chef's special- creamy soup of boletus with roasted pumpkin seeds and goat's cheese I changed my mind immediately. Starter and main :))). My sister got Tomato, celery and sweet pepper soup which was as good as mine. For the main course my sister and mum got salad- Ceasar salad with salmon, Fresh leaves salad with chicken. I went for beef of course. Beef steak with green peppers sauce, roasted vegetables and potatoes. It was soo good, I never been as happy about the food as in "Siluvos karuna". And we paid such a 'funny' price for what we had. Only 40,70 euros for 3 of us. Staff were friendly and helpful! This is definitely high level restaurant. And if I will have any friends of mine coming to my area we will come here for sure. I went out very satisfied and rate it 10/10. Definitely recommended. Well done "Siluvos karuna"!

Beautiful Lithuania: Laju takas

Hey guys,
How are you? I'm having nice holiday in Lithuania right now. This blog post will be a bit different from others just because it's inspired by traveling. But I hope it still will be interesting to you, especially for my not lithuanian readers. Yesterday me and friends of mine had a nice trip by car. We visited quite a few famous lithuanian places and I have tons of pictures so I decided to write 2 posts about it and don't make it too long. Let's get started. :)
First place we went was the most interesting for us. Basically just because of this place we decided to went for a trip. It's "Laju takas". Not sure how to translate in english but it's like canopy walkway. "Laju takas" made this year (2015) so this place is very full of tourists and everyone is talking about it. I was expecting something more exciting but I am not really disappointed. "Laju takas" is 300 metres long and in the end you can go up in to 34 metres tall 'tower' with amazing view. Nearby you can easily find stone of Puntukas which is one of the biggest stone in Lithuania. Also you can buy some lithuanian food, tea coffee or hot wine. Just to not be cold. :)
I'm wearing:
Jumper- Zara
Jacket- old and don't know from where
Scarf- Dorothy Perkins
Jeans- H&M
Shoes- Got last year, I think Oasis but not sure
Bag- Zara
I am coming back soon with another blog post.
Have a nice day,
Karolina
